i thought it was super funny that it was old women day and i also enjoyed gina's shawl.
these stories that the old woman, mabel, weaves are pretty insane. i don't blame any of the people who don't understand what is going on in her tales because she is probably so old she doesn't know what she is talking about. no, that is probably mean and also wrong. i'm pretty sure it just means that old people are much wiser than us, and they just have a better grasp of life than we do--maybe because they are old and they've accepted that life is almost over for them. anyway who knows, poor sarah was old and she was pretty happy about dying... but i think that's because her life was super shitty.
conclusion: respect your elders

Well, i guess thats a pretty straight-forward way of saying it, but yea maybe. lol. I do agree with you about older people being much wiser than us. The stories that Mabel said are possibly much older than she was and have more of a background than we can think of. As for "Poor Sarah", I dont know about that one. Im still pretty confused about that one.
ReplyDeleteAhaha oh man most depressing, hilarious blog post ever. Where does respect your elders come from? lol like respect their rantings because they know what they're talking about even if you don't? Anyway, I think Mabel knows what she's talking about, even though everyone in the class was pretty blank about it. I guess it's just so clear to her that explaining it just seems redundant. Maybe like, if you don't get it as it is then either you don't deserve to understand or you're not ready to.
